The aim of the work is to determine the parameters of laser treatment of a metal surface to create a controlled formation of color images. The ex- periments were performed on a setup based on a pulsed ytterbium fiber laser. During the experiment, it was revealed under what parameters a particular color is achieved. The main drawback that limits the wider use of the laser color marking method is the lack of predictability of the resulting color processing, which implies the need for further research and experiments. Obviously, in order to study the formation of color should be selected the main characteristics of the laser. Experiment planning methods can be used to optimize labeling modes. Abstract
