Computer micro simulation modeling is used to determine the performance and fuel consumption of Toyota Prius vehicle. In this work, we have developed a micro-simulation tool which integrates microscopic models of energy consumption. First, we start by modeling microscopic behavior of vehicles where we use two microscopic models: the linear model for longitudinal moving and MOBIL (Minimizing Overall Braking Induced by Lane Changes) for lateral displacement in order to generate a real driving cycle which respects microscopic models rules. Then we implement two energy-consumption models which calculate energy consumption of the REV (hybrid electric vehicle) Toyota Prius vehicle and classical vehicle. Abstract
The present study investigates the influence of hybridisation on energy consumption.
