Abstract
This paper proposes a position estimation method using the time-reversal algorithm with reflectors in FDTD. Two thin cylindrical passive targets were randomly placed in the target area, where a Gaussian pulse was sent towards the area, and the reflected signals were received by an antenna array. After the signal was time-reversed, time-gating was applied to the signals to separate the direct path and multipath signals. Then, the reverse mode was done by back-propagation, and finally, cross-correlating the direct path and multipath signals' trajectory. Peaks in the electric field showed the estimated position of the targets.
