Abstract

This paper proposes the design and simulation of a two-phase Interleaved Boost convertor (IBC) using a PID controller for fuel cell systems. The main objective of the proposed DC-DC boost converter is to maintain a constant output voltage despite variations in supply (fuel cell system) voltage and input current. The working of the two-phase IBC has been discussed and the simulation is done via MATLAB Simulink. The PID controller has been discussed in brief and the system's stability analysis is carried out through the method of root locus. Using the PID controller, the output voltage of the two-phase interleaved boost converter is controlled and the waveforms are analyzed.
