Abstract

Summary form only given. The tempest problem concerning commercial computing devices has been considered. A device for computer information capture through electromagnetic emission reception has been examined. The fundamentals and the characteristics of a device capable of damaging computing equipment through electromagnetic coupling have been investigated. Some experimental data have been obtained and a tentative theoretical analysis of the sources of emission has been performed. The characteristics of a safety shielded ambient have been elucidated.<>
