Abstract
In this article the authors consider the use of complex TWT rigging for tuning the magnetic periodic focusing system. The main attention is paid to the use of tips with grooves and how they affect the magnitude of the MPFS's magnetic field. The method of investigation consists in a comparative analysis of two different types of MPFS design. The authors carried out a comparative analysis of two identical MPFS with different tips. The article presents in detail the results of analysis of the longitudinal and transverse components of magnetic induction and draws conclusions based on the obtained data.
