Abstract
In this paper we propose a new approach for characterization of home appliances load signature (electrical fingerprint) from Recurrence Plot Analysis (RPA) perspective, with the goal of non-intrusive appliance load monitoring (NIALM), promoted as enabling technology to save energy consumption and to lower consumers electrical bills.
