Non-traditional Christian Religiousity in Klaipeda During Two Decades of Lithuania’s Independence

Abstract

This article presents Klaipeda’s non-traditional Christian religious communities – non-denominational charismatic churches The Word of Love Church, the Free Christian Church in Klaipeda and the City Church, their changes, and their relationship with the urban population during the two decades of Lithuania’s Independence. The article based on material of leaders’ narrations of non-denominational churches, collected through in-depth qualitative interview method and discourse analysis of the local media publications.
