The article analyzes Saint Pope John Paul II“™s Notion of the Experience of a Personal Relationship with Jesus Christ, by highlighting three aspects. First, for Saint Pope John Paul II, an authentic Christian experience always contains the dimensions of “˜givenness“™ and “˜inwardness.“™ In other words, man enters into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ only if his heart has inwardly been touched by God“˜s love first. Second, the experience of faith in Christ is dynamic by its very nature: to believe in Christ means to follow Christ through concrete acts of love and service to God and other human beings. Third, a person can have an authentic Christian experience only if he belongs to the Body of Christ, the Church.

The article analyses the origin of the Christian folk piety place in Lithuania (The Hill of Angels in Trakai neighbourhood) in the 21st century. It seeks to answer the question of what is common and different between folk piety and Church’s tradition in The Hill of Angels? The results of the research indicate that the origins story of The Hill of Angels and its religious cultural expression are the result of local people’s piety in the 21st century which leads to the Church’s acknowledgment of holiness.

The article raises the issue that Catholic spouses are called to build their lives on the principles of the communion of persons as “communio personarum”, therefore it is necessary to evaluate whether Mark Gungor’s seminar „Laugh your way to a better marriage“ is an appropriate mean for the preparation of fiances for the celebration of the sacrament of marriage and the strengthening of the communion of spouses. The author theoretically clears out the principles of the communion of spouses, based on which the parameters for evaluation are prepared. Following the evaluation of the seminar, the conclusions are provided that the seminar is not an appropriate mean neither for the preparation of fiances nor the strengthening of the communion of Catholic spouses. The recommendations to the institutions of the Catholic Church in Lithuania for the use of the seminar are provided as well.

The application of narrative analysis to the Books of Samuel makes it possible to see in a new light the ascent of Saul to the throne of Israel, i. e., to understand better the beginnings of monarchy as they are exposed by the omniscient narrator. The story about the lost donkeys plays a special role in the narrative, as it provides the background for introducing Saul to the prophetic world governed by Samuel. The divine pro-monarchic revelation to Samuel(1 Sam 9, 15–16) structurally represents the central part of the passage.

The Trappist monk Thomas Merton is one of the most widely read religious writers of the 20th century. His productive career as a writer and social activist made him an important figure of the Church and whole society. However, our research is not focused on the assumptions concerning his personal impact and the potential beatificationor canonization. The main object of this article is the discourse of Thomas Merton’s creative works. His various texts and other works are considered as an expression of his personal journey of life towards sanctity. While Godis the source and purpose of Thomas Merton’s way to holiness, his creative works are like means for active, integral, and conscious participation in God’s creation in everyday live.

Technological changes in modern society draw up presumptions for the discussion: whether to follow classical principles of Natural law or create new ones based on Utilitarian arguments and human rights? Dominative Positivistic law and its discourse purposive independence from the facts keep open questions about the legal objectives and purpose. However, these answers can be found in the principles of Natural law. This article analyses the classical meaning of Natural law as well as stages of its formation, the background of Positivistic Law appearance and possible interaction between these two Law doctrines.
