Abstract

Nowadays, Lane detection and tracking modules are considered as central requirements in every Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) development. The extracted lane information could be used in several smart applications for lane keeping systems, lane departure warning and avoiding collisions with other vehicles. In this proposed work, we are presenting, reviewing and comparing the different vision based algorithms used for detecting road lanes in autonomous vehicles.
