Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to clarify the difference between the KJ method and the scientific problem solving (SPS) method, which is representative of problem-finding and problem-solving approaches. To that end, we analyzed the characteristics of the strategy between the KJ and SPS methods through the research results of Nisbett and Meyer. In addition, we clarified that the difference in thinking styles is “analytic thought” and “holistic thought”.
