Abstract
A compact antenna for WLAN/WiMAX is presented in this paper. By combining two G-shaped rings with a planar monopole antenna, the proposed antenna with the small size of 43mm×12mm×0.8mm provides a wide bandwidth of 2.4/5.2/5.8GHz WLAN bands and the 2.5/5.2 GHz WiMAX bands.
