A recent trend in ad hoc network routing is the reactive on-demand philosophy where routes are established only when required. Most of the protocols in this category, however, use single route and do not utilize multiple alternate paths. This paper proposes a scheme to improve existing on-demand routing protocols by introducing the power aware virtual node scheme in whole scenario. The scheme establishes the multi paths without transmitting any extra control message. It offers quick adaptation to distributed processing, dynamic linking, low processing and memory overhead and loop freedom at all times. This scheme uses the concept of Power awareness among route selection nodes. It is done by checking power status of each node in the topology which insures fast selection of routes with minimal efforts and faster recovery. The scheme is incorporated with the Ad-hoc On-Demand Distance Vector (AODV) and Dynamic Source Routing (DSR) protocol and the performance has been studied through simulation.

System performance of cellular networks could be improved by D2D communication. A retransmission scheme within D2D group is proposed for the case of data sharing. When all the D2D UEs failed to get data packet from BS by cellular links, retransmission is still carried out within the group. Because of the enhancement of receiving SNR, a UE could decode the data with a higher probability. Analysis and simulation indicates that the proposed scheme could save the resource of cellular links with a little bit more D2D link resource consumption.

A compact antenna for WLAN/WiMAX is presented in this paper. By combining two G-shaped rings with a planar monopole antenna, the proposed antenna with the small size of 43mm×12mm×0.8mm provides a wide bandwidth of 2.4/5.2/5.8GHz WLAN bands and the 2.5/5.2 GHz WiMAX bands. Good dipole-like simulated radiation characteristics over the operating bands are obtained.

Based on autocorrelation matrix theory of spectrum sensing for cognitive radio (CR). To solve the high cost of cooperative spectrum sensing, this paper proposed a spectrum sensing algorithm by step combination cooperative strategy, with the purpose of keeping balance between accuracy and velocity, the method chooses CR numbers and its users from all CR users randomly. Simulation results show that the method can not only ensure the correctness, but also reduce the extra data overhead result from the cooperative spectrum sensing and shorten the spectrum sensing search time, meanwhile, it is able to ease the burden of central controller and improve the performance of CR system as a whole.

In the Single-Carrier Frequency Division Multiple Access (SC-FDMA) system, the orthogonality of uplink Reference Signals (RS) via Code Division Multiplexing (CDM) could be deteriorated by unused guard subcarriers and the consequent time-domain oversampling of Constant Amplitude Zero Auto-correlation (CAZAC) sequence. As a result, the conventional CDM RS structure is sensitive to power control and near-far effect. In this paper, we propose a novel orthogonal uplink RS design via subgroup-wise shifts of a base CAZAC sequence. By using UE-specific shifts and subgroup-specific linear modulation, the RSs of different subgroup will not interfere with each other even in the presence of zero subcarriers. Moreover, by classifying user equipments (UEs) into the different subgroups based on their power levels, the proposed scheme is more robust to imperfect power control and near-far effects.

The article studies the multi-antenna technology, carries on the selective analysis to the array antennas and the MIMO space-time block codes (STBC) technology, in the view of the MIMO STBC is only suitable in the high signal-to-noise ratio and abundant multi-path environment, We proposed to use the maximum ratio combining (MRC) receive technology in the receiving end. Through the channel's analysis, we carry on the division based on the maximum output signal-to-noise ratio to the channel, and then use different multi-antenna technology to achieve optimized the system performance. From the simulation result, the proposed new multi-antenna system based on the channel division is with a better performance than the original sole multi-antenna technology system.

Multi-channel can increase the network throughput, but require new method to allocate channels. This paper proposes a new multi-channel method which utilizes multi-channel to transmitting data simultaneously. The method is based on contention graph and allocate channel with maximal clique and adapted to static wireless networks. Simulation results show that this method improves the packet delivery ratio of the link significantly.

We built a Simulink PHY Layer platform of OFDM-based IEEE802.11a standard. An improved puncturing method was proposed according to the principle of Viterbi decoding, and we did some simulations and analysis of the link layer properties under different Eb/N0 based on the same parameters of the PHY Layer in IEEE802.11a. We could reach the conclusion of the improved puncturing method increases about 3dB in the bit error probability of the OFDM system comparing with the puncturing method in the IEEE802.11a. Moreover, the simulations of our new matrix interleaving constructor based on relevant theory we proposed reveals that when the Eb/N0 is greater than 5dB, the bit error probability will improve 1 to 2dB.

A STBC-VBLAST hybrid system based on GMD precoding algorithm is proposed. At the receiver, we made use of ZF-SIC and MMSE-SIC detection algorithms to recover the original data, and we compare the performance of the two detection algorithms. The simulation results indicate that the GMD algorithm can improve the hybrid system's performance greatly. The simple STBC-VBLAST hybrid system based on GMD precoding algorithm reduces the complexity of the system compared with the scheme proposed by C. Mengand J. Tuqanin despite of depressing the BER performance appreciably. The performance of MMSE-SIC detection algorithm outperforms ZF-SIC detection algorithm, both algorithms having comparative complexity.

In single relay selection is an effective technique to fulfill cooperative communications in two-way relay networks. Previous works took the minimum outage probability as the objective function in relay selection. This paper proposes a single relay selection scheme to maximize the sum rate of the network. The paper establishes the direct relationship between the tight lower bound of the sum rate and the harmonic mean of channel gains. By selecting the maximum harmonic mean among all relay nodes, the scheme maximizes the tight lower bound of the sum rate. Meanwhile, this paper proves that the proposed relay selection scheme could achieve the full diversity order in two-way AF relay networks with physical layer network coding. Simulation results show that the proposed relay selection scheme achieves significant performance improvement over the random selection scheme and performs very close to the optimal selection scheme in the sense of maximum sum rate.
