Abstract

The commercially used wheelchairs available for the specially abled don't have a functionality to climb staircase [1]. In recent years; There is an increase in number of specially abled and old aged people using wheelchairs. An electrical wheelchair for easy operation on stairs is proposed here. The wheel chair ascends and descends by fixed railing on stairs. This design is of low cost and can be easily afforded by the people.
