Abstract

The problem of asymptotically zeroing the error of a control system subject to ramp-like exogenous signals is considered under the additional requirement that the regulator be decentralized and that such a property hold to the maximum possible extent also in the presence of sensor/actuator failures. Sufficient conditions are given for the existence of decentralized regulators which guarantee the asymptotic zeroing of the errors even in the presence of loop failures. The proposed approach is expedient in dealing with the decentralized regulation of a nonlinear plant modeled as a bunch of linear equations.<>
