In this paper, we discussed how to integrate MATLAB with HDL design tools such as HDL designer and Precision-C, suitable for rapid prototyping. The design flow not only accelerates process of algorithm development but also simplifies test-bed formulation and verification process. So the total development time can be obviously reduced. At last, we elaborate on the advantage and disadvantages of the design flow. Abstract
