The simulation results demonstrate that the video hand tracking algorithm based on hybrid Camshift tracking algorithm and Kalman filter motion prediction can do automatic motion detection and tracking with high reliability. Abstract

This paper focuses on the technology of human motion tracking based on video. First, It discusses the Camshift (Continuously Adaptive Meanshift) tracking algorithm. 本文主要研究基于视频的人体运动跟踪技术。首先,讨论了Camshift (continuous Adaptive Meanshift)跟踪算法。Camshift跟踪算法是一种基于物体颜色特征的跟踪方法,在无参数和快速计算方面得到了广泛的应用。然后,在保留Camshift的优点,改进其缺点的基础上,提出了一种改进的手部运动跟踪算法——基于Camshift跟踪算法和卡尔曼滤波运动预测的混合视频手部运动跟踪算法。本文设计了一个视频手部运动跟踪系统,并进行了大量的仿真实验,实验结果得到了很好的验证。仿真结果表明,基于Camshift跟踪算法和卡尔曼滤波运动预测的视频手部跟踪算法能够实现高可靠性的自动运动检测和跟踪。该方法克服了肤色干扰问题,具有明显的鲁棒性和实用性。
