Integrating A PACS In A Radiology Department

Abstract

The need for integrating a Picture Archival and Communications System (PACS) with existing infamation systems and digital imaging systems has grown with the radiology department's expanding operational use of PACS. The advantages of integrating the systems in a radiology department are clear, and have been documented befor. This paper focus on the technical issues and challenges faced when integrated a PACS in a radiology department. Technical issues and the implemented solutions based on real development experiences are presented.
