Abstract

The article provides an overview of the main equations based on the analysis of literature sources and the authors' own research, describing the dependence of the slew rate (SR) of BJT/CMOS operational amplifiers (Op-Amps) and the transient settling time in a nonlinear mode. In this case, the following variants of the throughput characteristics of the drivers of the integrating correction capacitance of the Op-Amp are considered: linear without restrictions, linear with restriction, piecewise linear with a dead zone, exponential, quadratic, quasi-linear with a section of increased steepness. The limits of the applicability of the existing equations for SR are determined. Recommendations are given for designing high-speed Op-Amps of a new generation.
