Abstract

The following articles are dealt with: modeling physical processes in lasers including semiconductor, solid-state and gas ones; nonlinear effects in active and passive optical devices and systems; high-speed optics, optical solitons, short pulse generation and propagation in optical media including photonic crystals; dispersive media and light beam propagation in the optical waveguides and gratings; new coherent optical sources for the transmission, storage and analysis of information; and broadband optical networks.
