The advantages of Solid State circuit breakers are discussed. A mathematical model of IGBT has been conducted and discussed. Abstract

Certain advancements have been ongoing in power electronics, DC transmission is looking more advantageous than it ever has. Since the application of power converters and advanced circuit breaker technology, distribution, and transmission of DC energy has become increasingly dependable.
