Abstract

In order to meet highly dynamic and diversified requirements of network services, we design Quality of Service (QoS)-aware routing optimization by utilizing the emerging Software Defined Networking (SDN) technology. In this paper, we: (a) introduce an SDN-based integrated network architecture by embedding multiple functional modules that support personalized network services; (b) develop a QoS-aware, adaptive routing mechanism within the suggested network architecture for meeting the QoS requirements of different network services; and (c) we design and implement a packet loss avoidance mechanism for the optimized routing.
