Abstract

Acoustic mapping of ocean currents with Distributed Networked Underwater Sensors (DNUS) system is an effective and energy-saving technique for monitoring oceanographic environments. Unlike the common acoustic tomography methods, this new approach can locally reconstruct ocean currents using data between neighboring sensors.
