Abstract
Chairman's address to the Architecture and Engineering Section, 8th N.Z. Science Congress, delivered on May 18, 1954. In expressing thanks to Mr. King, the Section also resolved that the address should be forwarded to the two institutions concerned (N.Z.I.E. and N.Z.I.A.) for publication, with the request that action be taken along the lines suggested by him.
