The modification includes its different topologies, control and modulation schemes. The main objective of those modifications was to reduce the number of switching devices while obtaining a higher number of levels in the output voltage. The working of a multilevel inverter is analyzed through which seventeen level output voltage can be achieved by employing eight switching devices. Abstract
