Abstract

Unwanted signals in a search radar are generally described as noise or clutter and this also includes ground returns, sea returns, weather, buildings, birds and insects. Removal of clutter is a significant challenge in radar signal processing. In this paper, we experiment with the use of certain sharpening filters and custom linear 2D filers for such an application.
