Abstract

Small displacement detection has found many applications in numerous field such as, in structure health monitoring, medical, human to machine interface and disaster management. Small displacement in a large structure, chest or abdominal wall in human vital sign, motion hand gesture and in slope location, were became important data that need to obtain for many purposes. Radar technology is potentially implement for detecting the small displacement in many areas that previously mention with a feature of non-contact operation and multiple points detection. However, improvement of some techniques in radar system is needed to overcome resolution problem in detecting the small displacement.
