Channel capacity and data rate are depended by the modulation bandwidth of the LED. A test system of LED's modulation bandwidth is designed. This system includes two parts: transmission and reception. The transmition circuit is BiasT structure. The receiving circuit is TIA structure. The parameters of the chip were analyzed in detail. The 3dB modulation bandwidth is about 3.15MHz. The 20dB modulation bandwidth is about 8MHz. After using a blue filter lens, the 3dB modulation bandwidth is raised to about 5.5MHz.
