Abstract

The impact type penetrator is a compact, lightweight and low power consumption device, using internal hammering mechanism to move downward by compaction of lunar soil in space exploration. This paper proposes an optimal design method for the impact type penetrator. The method main to optimize the structure parameters for housing element (M2), suppressor element (M0) and hammer element (M1) of the penetrator.
