The simulation and validation of control of BLDC motor using ten step commutation has been presented using MATLAB/SIMULINK. Abstract

The paper presents the ten step commutation of five phase BLDC motor implemented in the platform of AT89C51 microcontroller. The ten step commutation logic to drive the motor was developed with the information achieved from the five Hall sensors embedded in the motor.
