The type of research used is descriptive quantitative research. The study was conducted in February 2021. The sample in this study are teacher and students of grade I SDN 25 Indralaya. Data collection using a questionnaire and observation sheet. Data analysis techniques on this research uses descriptive statistical techniques. The results showed that the effectiveness of the use of social media whatsApp for online learning in grade I SDN 25 Indralaya classified as moderate with a percentage of 35%. Meanwhile, from the results of observations shows that the use of whtasApp social media on learning online in class I was classified as good with a percentage of 44%. 本研究的目的是描述学生使用whatsApp社交媒体进行在线学习的应用。所使用的研究类型是描述性定量研究。该研究于2021年2月进行。本研究的样本为Indralaya SDN 25年级一年级的师生。数据收集采用问卷调查和观察表。本研究的数据分析技术采用描述性统计技术。结果显示，Indralaya SDN 25年级学生使用社交媒体whatsApp进行在线学习的有效性为中等，百分比为35%。同时，从观察结果来看，whtasApp社交媒体在I班在线学习中的使用情况为良好，比例为44%。关键词:有效性，whatsApp社交媒体，在线学习
