The longitudinal difference principle is used to locate the fault in the fault area. This algorithm uses less information, which is beneficial to reduce the amount of communication, and can quickly locate single fault and multiple faults on buses and lines. Abstract

With the expansion of the scale of the power grid and the complexity of the system structure, the traditional backup protection has defects such as complicated setting and triggering chain trips. Based on the wide-area information, this paper proposes a backup protection algorithm based on a centralized structure. 基于广域信息的故障定位方法研究
