Abstract

In the present work, we report the fabrication of Eutectic Gallium Indium (EGaIn) nanoparticles (NPs) suspended in ethanol through the process of probe sonication followed by their characterization. The effect of shape and size of EGaIn NPs on its UV plasmonic response is also examined. It is found that the Local Surface Plasmon Resonance (LSPR) for EGaIn occurs in the UV region and depends on the size of NPs. As the size of NPs increases LSPR peaks shift towards the longer wavelength.
