Abstract

Seating arrangements are among the significant factors considered in the field of education. Traditional seating arrangement is commonly used in classrooms, but it does not usually work for most students. This research adapted various designs of seating arrangements for Statistics classes of Grade 11 students to determine its effects on these students' academic performance. After completing the discussion for the selected topic, an examination was given to the students and their respective scores were collected and analyzed. Using one-way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and Tukey's post-hoc test, the test scores revealed that the different seating arrangements have different effects on the performance of these students. This concludes that students must be arranged in a seating design that would allow for collaboration and interaction between them and their teacher since this will help in enhancing their academic performance.
