Prospects of the statin treatment: Review of current studies

Abstract

Summary The article present a review of last-year publications on statins, specifically rosuvastatin, studies. This drug group demonstrates vari-ous clinical effects, which array has been expanding. The review provides significant current evidence on the effect of statins on lipid metabolism, activity of the coagulation system, and the development of DM. Data from translational studies are presented.
