Abstract

Electric Vehicle is currently a type of vehicles available in public which is used for mass transportation between places. Unpredictable arrival time of the electric vehicle is a problem that can be overcome by having a display showing the incoming time of the vehicle at the bus stop. However, the information about the arrival time has to be updated frequently at the bus stop, resulting in a large amount of data transfer between the server and the bus stop. To reduce the amount of data the updating time has to be varied adaptively. It is shown that using Fuzzy logic for determining the updating time, a half of data transferred can be reduced while keeping the timing error in the acceptable range.
