Abstract

A new composite piezoelectric beam is proposed for gyroscope application in this paper. The beam is made of lithium niobate plate with a ferroelectric inversion layer. The flexural vibration of the beam is investigated by one-dimensional beam theory, considering the effects of Coriolis force and centrifugal force. The governing equations are obtained for the analysis of the flexural vibration under the driving voltage.
