Abstract

Fossil fuel-reliant off-grid communities have gained attention of many government bodies. Commonly, these communities are home to first nations and face resource deprivation in the supply of natural gas and electricity. Meanwhile, the United Nations have created goals to overcome these challenges, and they have been adopted by many governmental entities across the world. These have the potential to significantly enhance the vantage point of their dwellers. This paper investigates diesel reduction options in an isolated community in Canada.
