Abstract
This paper focuses on a review of lightning resulted issues in electric power supply of productive and extractive industry in South Africa. The article presents the interview result among representatives from companies in the industry above. Analysis of interviews showed that it is essential to prevent any interruptions of technological processes. Possible ways of lightning consequences mitigation are presented.
