Abstract
Within the framework of the conducted research, the necessity for developing a highly detailed simulation model of interval regulation of train traffic is substantiated. The advantages and disadvantages of current universal and specialized programs of simulation modeling of processes in railway transport are analyzed. By means of the universal simulation tool AnyLogic, the model of train movement along the running line is constructed using traction calculations and implementation of interval regulation. In the model, the agent-based modeling approach is used to simulate train movement modes, the process approach is used to implement the logic of the operation of interval control systems, and the elements of system dynamics are used to calculate the speed of the train. The adequacy of the model is justified by analyzing the train travel times in traction mode along the lines belonging to the four types of track profile with varying the mass of rolling stock and the power of train locomotives.
