Abstract

Platooning in VANET context is gaining a lot of interest in the last years. In order to support properly the car platooning multiple simulation modules need to be integrated to consider a different car mobility model, a different sensor equipment management on board. In this paper, an overview of the main simulator modules to support platooning are presented and a simple platooning management protocol has been proposed in order to improve the performance of electrical vehicles from an energetic point of view.
