Abstract

Operational conditions of power transformers are fundamental for the correct and safe operation of the electric power system, as well as the increase of the useful life of these equipments. With early failures the availability of the system is compromises. Maintenance and operation actions in the electrical system can be optimized with the presence of accurate information. This article proposes a methodology that makes use of data science to provide indicators of the condition of the equipment and the need for preventive maintenance. The work evaluated data from a real transformers demonstrating the applicability of the method in the identification of critical operating conditions.
