Abstract

This article presents research that brings as theme the assessment of sustainability in the context of Lagoa da Conceição in Florianópolis.. More specifically, it was started from the principle that it is necessary to evaluate to make a decision about which technologies should be incorporated in the building, and that these in turn should consider the context where the building will be inserted. To do so, a history of the emergence of urbanization in Lagoa da Conceição was elaborated and the challenges and opportunities for the sustainable development of the place were listed, having as reference the proposition of the ESA-B Model. As a result, the main aspects that should guide the assessment of sustainability in this context were obtained, in order to guide the development of an application, through the USAT/ESA-B project.
