Abstract

The processing of signals that come from different physical sources, are usually acquired through specialized devices and sensors. However, smartphones are used more frequently for the acquisition of different signals. In this paper an application that allows the acquisition of signals from the accelerometer, the gyroscope, the magnetometer and the GPS of a smartphone with Android operating system is presented. The proposed application uses some components of the FIWARE platform to cover the monitoring and visualization stage of the data. The tests carried out showed that it is feasible to use our application as a tool for the acquisition and visualization of signals coming from the sensors of a smartphone.
