Abstract

Distributed generation (DG) produces cheaper energy at the site of consumption while providing more reliable electricity delivery to critical users. Every year, Russia’s industrial enterprises produce ever more electricity and heat at their own DG facilities. Advanced low- and medium-capacity gas-turbine and gas-piston generator sets (GS) are widely used at DG facilities. The GS have a number of design parameters that significantly affect the rate and parameters of transients in case of external disturbances.
