Abstract
This paper presents the adaptive integral method (AIM) to solve scattering problem of mixed dielectric/conducting object. The scattering problem is formulated using the Poggio-Miller-Chang-Harrington-Wu-Tsai (PMCHWT) and electric field integral equation approach for the dielectric and conducting body respectively. The integral equations using these approaches eliminate the interior resonance and produce accurate result. Method of moments (MOM) apply to discretize the integral equations. The resultant matrix system is solved by iterative solver with AIM. Numerical results are presented to demonstrate the accuracy and efficiency of the technique.
