The result showed there was an improvement in student’s reading comprehension after being taught through LRD strategy with the significant level <0.05. The students also agreed this strategy was easy to follow in the lesson to understand the materials. Abstract

This research aimed to investigate whether there was an improvement in student’s reading comprehension before and after being taught through LRD strategy and find out their response toward the strategy. 运用LRD策略提高小学三年级学生英语叙事文本的阅读理解能力
本研究旨在探讨采用LRD策略教学前后学生的阅读理解能力是否有所提高,并了解学生对该策略的反应。本研究于2019/2020学年在Jati Agung SMPN 3进行,样本总数为32名三年级学生。数据收集采用多项选择和问卷调查。定量数据采用t检验,定性数据采用李克特量表。结果显示,采用LRD策略教学后,学生的阅读理解能力有显著提高,且显著水平<0.05。学生们也同意这种策略在课堂上很容易理解材料。由此可见,LRD策略对学生的阅读理解产生了积极的影响。
