New explorations can be made in building a talent training system in the new era, building a new platform for student funding education, building a multi-dimensional talent evaluation mechanism in the new era, and improving the efficiency and quality of national defense education in frontier universities. Abstract

Due to factors such as the special geographical location and the weak strength of running schools, the higher institutions in the border areas of Yunnan Province have caused heavy military training tasks and high pressure on military training. Peer education management model is adopted to train the backbone of students to complete military training, and expand the path of college students' education and management. It is not only conducive to promoting the military training of freshmen, but also conducive to the cultivation and improvement of the comprehensive quality of students.
