Abstract

This paper presents a multi-area economic load dispatching control (EDC) with a combination of spot pricing as a demand side option and economic power interchange as a supply side option to keep demand and supply balance. The effectiveness of the proposed method is illustrated by numerical simulations using a test power system model that has three regions.
