Abstract

Optical fiber sensing systems based on Bragg gratings and optical frequency-domain reflectometry make possible to interrogate precisely the magnitude and location of reflected signal along a sensing optical fiber. However, the deviations of laser source wavelength from its intended linear scanning in the defined time interval may cause significant degradation of expected spatial resolution. To overcome this problem, we experimentally testify a post-processing method based on suitable resampling of the detected signal. To verify the method, we set up an experimental sensing system with fiber Bragg grating.
